I created my own storyboard based on the previous storyboard exercise. Synopsis: The protagonist of our story is a ‘colorful’ boy. One day, his father took him to a big ‘factory’. There he saw many children like him, brought here by their parents. It said that the ‘factory’ is a place to make perfect people.
After he entered the factory, the ‘factory’ gradually use machines to remold him into a monochrome person who lost his individuality. Finally, he went out and found everyone became the same, and so does he. So I’m trying to say that ‘Assimilation forms of education should not be advocated’.
my motivation: In many countries today, rigid exam-oriented education is very common children around us have lost their individuality due to rigid and assimilated education. I have been through it and I feel it. So I hope that people will realize the danger of rigid education. Avoid the loss of children’s individuality caused by assimilation education.
This is the storyboard I drew based on a clip from Star Wars which is one of my favourite. I want to learn the action and shots of this clip, because it was a chasing scene with a tense plot. Moreover, I want to develop my storyboard skill and I really want to know the camera move and shooting techniques here. So I drew the storyboard based on this clip and try to analysis it.
First of all, I designed the character illustration. The lines of the illustration are more cumbersome, and there are more colours. After the first round of simplification, the colour card and the body proportion were determined. Finally, I transform the character into the design that can be used for animation.
An animation of my inner world created by using go straight in photoshop.
